The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony's talented musicians are preparing together for a concert titled "Synergy." This will be the opening performance of the group's 19th season. Under the baton of conductor Mark Claassen from Mountain View High School, the 55-musician concert band will present an energetic program including Mothership by Mason Bates, Symphonic Dance No. 3 ("Fiesta") by Clifton Williams, Trombone King by Karl King, and more.

About Southwest Washington Wind Symphony

The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony is a 50-musician, professional quality concert band organized in 2005. The mission of the Southwest Washington Wind Symphony is to:
(1) nurture the appreciation of symphonic band music by performing free concerts for the community
(2) provide local musicians and music educators with opportunities for musical growth while performing challenging, high quality band literature
(3) encourage and support music education in the public schools with special emphasis on wind band music appreciation
(4) educate the audience and community on the cultural, historical, and musical significance of the symphonic band genre.
