Sergei ProkofievPeter and the Wolf, Op. 67 (arr. for woodwind quintet)

Please note: Some performances of "Peter and Friends" are sold out, or selling out quickly. Consult the NSO site for updated availability.

Inspired by Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, this immersive family show—developed specifically for toddlers—will have audience members playing like cats, flying like birds, and engaging with live music all along the way. The wild adventure features storytellers, puppets, and a quintet of woodwind and brass musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra, presented in collaboration with Teller Productions of Atlanta, GA.

Most enjoyed by infants to age 5.

All performances are sensory friendly! Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a performing arts experience that is welcoming to all families, including those with children with autism or other sensory sensitivities. If you order these performances and do not require these Accessibility accommodations, your family is still very much welcome to attend.

Prior to each performance, the NSO Volunteer Council's Musical PLAYspace gives children the opportunity to try out the instruments they’ll see played on the stage.

Multiple performances on November 4 and 5. Following the performance on Saturday, November 4 at 1pm, young audience members can ask questions and hear stories from the show’s artists and creative team.
