About the program:
Jean Sibelius – Rakastava ("The Lover"), Op. 14, for Timpani, Triangle and Strings: Based on Finnish folk poetry, composed 1912.
John Ireland – Concertino Pastorale: Composed in 1939, balancing musical beauty with the shadow of impending war.
Rachel Laurin – Concerto in D major for Organ, Strings, and Timpani: Jiyoung Lee, organ solo. Composed in 2011, Rachel Laurin's dynamic compositions are internationally recognized.
