Honoring the great heritage of Anglican Evensong worship and music, immediately following the 4pm worship service, Big Horn Brass will present an Evensong Concert.
While this event is free, donations are gratefully accepted, and will enable the sponsoring organization, The St. Paul's Music Guild, to continue offering these wonderful concerts.

About Greg Garrett, trumpet
Greg Garrett, trumpet, performs in many different stylistic worlds. Greg is a graduate of University of Michigan where he studied with Armando Ghitalla and Ramone Parcells. His playing career started out in the Ann Arbor Brass Quintet and continued to the A2 Bee-Bop Quintet with Pianist David Swaim. He relocated to the Norheastern Ohio Area in the mid 80s and started playing in Motown, blues bands and big bands such as The Motion, King Kong, and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. After hooking up in 1989 with Dick Johnston and the Artie Shaw Orchestra based out of Boston, MA, he relocated back to Portland, Oregon. Currently, he can be heard playing with Patrick Lamb, the Chuck Isreals Octet, Pete Petersen Septet, the Ellen Whyte Band w/The 4-Eyed Horns, Columbia Brass Quintet, and The Shanghai Woolies, amongst others.

Larry Johnson is currently Instructor of Horn at Oregon State University and Staff Conductor for the Portland Youth Philharmonic conducting the Wind Ensemble and the Conservatory Orchestra. He also is President of Music Camps at Wallowa Lake – a nonprofit organization that runs two chamber music programs for young musicians around the Pacific Northwest each summer.
