​Two settings of the Marian text Salve regina by English composers William Cornysh and Gabriel Jackson are featured on this program of Renaissance and modern motets. It also features music by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, Flemish composer Heinrich Isaac, and Portuguese composer Filipe de Magalhães.

This program will receive 2 in-person performances:
- Saturday, February 3, 7:30pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Seattle
- Sunday, February 4, 3pm at Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin in San Francisco

It will also be recorded and streamed online February 17-March 2.

About Byrd Ensemble

Directed by Markdavin Obenza, the Byrd Ensemble is a professional ensemble that specializes in the performance of Renaissance polyphony.
