Get ready for a SPOOKtacular evening this Halloween season with the esteemed Tacoma Concert Band’s season opening concert titled "A Night on Bald Mountain" on Saturday, October 21, 2023, 7:30pm, at Tacoma's historic and beautifully renovated Pantages Theater.
Conductor and Artistic Director Gerard Morris has selected a program featuring a wide array of repertoire that will transport you to fantastical and mysterious realms, including spine-tingling classics like Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, Berlioz's "Dream of a Witches' Sabbath" from Symphonie fantastique, and Mozart's "Queen of the Night" aria from The Magic Flute. The program also includes music from motion picture favorites such as Harry Potter, The Wizard of Oz, Black Panther, Encanto, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
