About Manon Ogwen Parry, soprano
Manon Ogwen Parry is a sought-after young Welsh soprano studying under the guidance of Marilyn Rees at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. From a young age, Manon has performed as guest soloist with choirs throughout Wales including the Morriston Orpheus, Treorchy, Pendyrus Pontarddulais and Blaenavon Male Voice Choirs. In 2018 she won the Olwen Phillips Scholarship and the Eisteddfod Scholarship for Best Singer of the festival. In the same year she won the Classical section of the South Glamorgan Festival for Young Musicians, in addition to first prize in the Vale of Glamorgan Festival for Young Musicians. In 2019 Manon won the Kathleen Ferrier Junior Scholarship, representing the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. More recently, Manon played the role of Rosalinde in the Guildhall's Introduction to Opera performance of Die Fledermaus.
