About Octávio Deluchi, guitar

Praised as one of the greatest talents of the Brazilian guitar today (O Tempo), and as one of the most active and brilliant soloists from his generation (Acervo Digital do Violão Brasileiro) by the specialized press, Octávio Deluchi had his solo debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of 24 and has more than 15 awards in national and international levels. Touring frequently in Brazil and the United States, Deluchi had appearances in cities such as New York, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Philadelphia, Little Rock, Belo Horizonte, and more. As a performer, he has been featured in important venues and series, such as Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center, Composer's Now, Americas Society, Odeon Guitar Series, Musik Expedition International Music Festival, BNDES, to name a few. Octávio has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, between performances, premieres, and commissions, such as Sergio Assad, João Luiz, Vicente Paschoal, Emmanuele Baldini, Tania Leon, Rosana Diniz, Gabriele Leite, Eduardo Guterres, Guido Campos, and more. His commercial releases showcase his remarkable aptitudes across a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from 19th-century to South American repertoire and collaborations with young composers. Deluchi coordinates the guitar festival Mostra de Violão da Lira Ceciliana and is a guest soloist and resident professor at Festival de Música de Prados, one of the most traditional and old music festivals in Brazil.
