Classic and modern pieces contrast in this program from the PVS Chorus and Chamber Choir. We begin with an exploration of the music of Joseph Haydn from his time in Eisenstadt in what is now Austria, where he spent most of his life, and from his compositions inspired by two impactful trips to London taken later in his life. The Chorus will also perform excerpts from Margaret Bonds' Credo and Mary D. Watkins' Dark River: The Fannie Lou Hamer Story, previewing the May finale of the PVS Orchestra & Chorus’ 85th concert season.
