A new series co-produced by National Sawdust and The Metropolitan Opera that navigates questions of what qualifies as opera and who opera is for, through explorations of modern works.

The second installment of this three-part series celebrates artistic convergence by investigating the intersection of innovation and tradition at National Sawdust. This event brings together a diverse array of multi-faceted artists, including Paola Prestini, esteemed composer and co-founder and artistic director of National Sawdust, and director Lileana Blain-Cruz. With performances from celebrated mezzo soprano J'Nai Bridges, as well as the team of Prestini's Sensorium Ex, moderator Ana de Archuleta will speak with the artists about the intricacies of multi-disciplinary work, steps in creating equitable creative spaces, and the future of evolving genres.
