The internationally lauded American pianist Michael Stephen Brown, hailed by The New York Times as "one of the leading figures in the current renaissance of performer-composers," will be presented by the Redlands Symphony on March 9th, 2024.
Mr. Brown will appear as a guest soloist with the Redlands Symphony under the baton of conductor Ransom Wilson. The concert will take place at Memorial Chapel at the University of Redlands. Entitled "Our Friend Mozart," this all-Mozart program will feature Mr. Brown performing Mozart's only minor key piano concerto, Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor.
About Michael Stephen Brown, piano
Praised for his "fearless performances," by The New York Times and "exceptionally beautiful" compositions by The Washington Post, pianist and composer Michael Stephen Brown is a frequent performer of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center series. Mr. Brown, whose artistry is shaped by his creative voice as a pianist and composer, will be featured in the Society 2023-24 season with a solo recital at Alice Tully Hall. A native New Yorker, he lives there with his two 19th-century Steinway Ds, Octavia and Daria.
