Monday Musical Club of Portland: "Pot of Gold" Tea

Monday Musical Club members and guests enjoy monthly teas which include musical performances, often provided by scholarship winners or performers from the organizations that receive support. Entertainment for this tea will be provided by students of The Community Music Center.

About Monday Musical Club of Portland

Monday Musical Club was founded in 1904 and has supported music in Portland throughout the years.

The scholarship program began in 1965 and today funds a program that awards thousands of dollars annually to music students age 14 to 22. Students participate in an audition each spring. Winners are selected by professional adjudicators. Scholarships are supported by fundraising, bequests and contributions from members.

About Community Music Center – Portland Parks & Recreation

The Community Music Center is a Portland Parks & Recreation program in partnership with the nonprofit Community Music Center, Inc. It has been a popular place for music lessons and concerts in Portland since 1955. It is also part of the National Guild for Community Arts Education.

CMC enhances the greater Portland community by providing opportunities for all ages to learn about, make and enjoy music. We do this through:

- affordable music classes and lessons,
- free and low-cost concerts and workshops,
- low-cost instrument rentals,
- and other resources for the public,

...all subsidized by the City and the non-profit.
