The Portland Youth Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes the 2024 Grammy Award-winning, "groundbreaking…fearless…vital" (Carnegie Hall) Imani Winds to perform Paradise Valley Serenade by 2024 Grammy Award-winner Jeff Scott. After a thrilling world premiere of Scott's The Journey in Season 99, PYP is excited to be able to bring more of his music to Portland.

Also on the program is Amy Beach's too-long neglected romantic and harmonic "Gaelic" Symphony, which draws inspiration from English, Irish, and Scottish melodies. We will also hear the delightfully exciting Strum for string orchestra, by 2024 Grammy Award-winning Jessie Montgomery, which will show off the powerful string section and have audiences clamoring for more of this rhythmically compelling work.

Note: You may exchange in-person tickets for livestream tickets if you are not able to attend.
