He was one of the greatest melodists of all time; Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky turned his magic quill upon the fairytale classic Sleeping Beauty and produced an enchanting ballet. The inspiration for Disney's 1959 animated feature film, Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty leans into the sections of the virtuoso Atlanta Symphony Orchestra with soaring lyricism and muscular bombast. The "spellbinding" (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser returns for the ravishing cello concerto Tout un monde lointain by Henri Dutilleux. Guest conductor Alpesh Chauhan makes his Atlanta debut.
