Acclaimed guitarist and composer Aaron Larget-Caplan returns to Portland with a tour-de-force concert program of solos celebrating music from his latest albums reaching over 6-million streams and violin-guitar duos with Portland favorite Mary Rowell. Music by J.S. Bach from Larget-Caplan's album God's Time, Spanish composers from Spanish Candy and his March 1st release Spanish Gems, as well as Larget-Caplan's own compositions from the album honey cadence. Violinist Mary Rowell will join Aaron for duos of melodic gems by John Cage and spicy sensual Argentine tangos by Astor Piazzolla.
About Aaron Larget-Caplan, guitar
Composer and classical guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan searches for the life in music, and music in life. He has premiered over 120 compositions, directs the Spanish music and dance ensemble ¡Con Fuego!, while curating the New Lullaby Project commissioning endeavor, and the Now Musique recital series. His arrangements and recording of the music of John Cage are the first to be sanctioned by the estate and have received international accolades. He has 11 solo albums which have earned over 6 million streams, including albums dedicated to J.S. Bach, John Cage, Spanish romantic and flamenco composers, contemporary composers, and his own music. Raised in Colorado, he makes his home in Boston.

Mary Rowell (violin/viola) is a freelance musician and teacher in the Portland Area. he frequently plays recitals with Tatiana Kolchanova in MT Duo and as a freelancer, she plays many styles including, period playing (baroque violin and viola) and some jazz. She has enjoyed playing with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, the Eugene Symphony, Portland Center Stage and many regional theaters and is currently concertmaster of the Bach Cantata Choir. She lives in Southeast Portland with her piano-technician husband, cats, and chickens.
