Atlanta Chamber Players: Rapido Contest Finals
$25 ($15 seniors; students free)
The Atlanta Chamber Players proudly present the 7th Cycle of the national Rapido! Composition Contest, which culminates in a concert featuring five finalists at the High Museum of Art. Candidates hail from all over the US and are expected to compose a piece in a style and instrumentation only disclosed at the start of a rapid, 14-day, composition period. Live judging will take place at the concert, and judges include Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon, Brian Nabors, Michael Gandolfi, and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra VP of Artistic Planning, Gaetan Le Divelec.
