The always-evolving Met Orchestra Chamber Ensemble lets members of The Met Orchestra explore the boundless world of chamber music. It’s a vehicle that constantly yields unique and compelling programs like tonight's, which opens with Martinů's Fantasia for Theremin, Oboe, String Quartet, and Piano. The concert also includes a brass quartet by Villa-Lobos and one of the composer's Bach-meets-Brazil works, which features renowned soprano Nadine Sierra; and Stravinsky's unusually orchestrated Octet.
