Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company premieres Seeds of Toil: Three Stories of Asian American Resistance and Resilience, a modern dance triptych. The 50-minute dance focuses on the confluence of three agricultural histories of Asian Americans: Korean American plantation workers in Hawaii at the turn of the last century, the importance of the collaboration of Filipino and Latinx organizers and farmworkers in California in the 1960s, and the impact of WWII internment on the Japanese agricultural communities of California in the 1940s. Live music by collaborative pianist Dana Scott.
