Christopher Tin — "Sogno di Volare" from Civilization VI
Giacomo Puccini / Christopher Tin — Turandot Finale (selections)
Calling all singers and gamers! Washington National Opera, in partnership with composer Christopher Tin and the Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra, invites you to participate in this free "sing-in" in the Concert Hall.
Legendary film, video game, and concert music composer Christopher Tin will lead participants in a read-through and performance of his popular songs "Baba Yetu" and "Sogno di Volare," both from the videogame Civilization franchise. Next, participants will have the opportunity to learn some of the music from the new finale Tin composed for Puccini's Turandot, which WNO performs May 11-25, 2024.
Singers will be accompanied by members of the Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra.
The event is free, but advanced registration is required. Space is limited and available first-come, first-served. Digital copies of the music will be shared with participants via the email address they provided at the time of registration.
