Chris Peterson – Past Concerts
Chris Peterson has played clarinet for over 30 years in ensembles in North Carolina, Utah, and Seattle. While pursuing a doctorate in Molecular Biology at the University of Utah, he was principal with the Murray Symphony Orchestra, where he performed solo concerto works by Copland, Weber, and Mozart. After moving to Seattle in 2010, Chris joined Eastside Symphony where he had the opportunity to perform solo works by Vanchestein and Shaw. He is currently a member of Harmonia Seattle and plays with Lake Union Civic Orchestra, Puget Sound Concert Opera, Microsoft Orchestra, Northwest Mahler Festival, the vaudeville/circus band Fremont Philharmonic, and Jazz Night School in South Seattle. During the day, Chris is investigating HIV cure strategies in the Clinical Research Division of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
