Washington Musical Pathways Initiative (WMPI) – Past Concerts
The Washington Musical Pathways Initiative (WMPI) is a talent development program for dedicated student musicians in grades 8–12 from communities that have been historically excluded from classical music and want to pursue music study in college.
With partners the DC Youth Orchestra Program, Levine Music, the Kennedy Center, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, WMPI is committed to enhancing the diversity of the Washington, D.C. region's classical music community. By providing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment for our students, we are preparing them for personal and professional success in an increasingly global society.
