Portland native Robert Bomstad is a passionate musician that’s dedicated toward the making of new music and teaching future generations the piano. First starting piano at the age of ten, he's now in his final term at Portland State University and is about to receive his first bachelor's degree in music. Robert hopes to make people excited about music and the piano the way he did when first inspired to begin his studies.

Mr. Bomstad plans to continue developing his compositional voice and performance style while teaching in Portland Oregon. His performances elicit positive responses from organizations such as Oregon Arts Watch who stated "Bomstad's pyrotechnics... brought down the house." As well as other local organizations like Piano Push Play who’ve labeled him as an "amazing pianist."

To hear Robert play around town you can try to catch him at local music events such as Classical Revolution's chamber jams, the Portland Piano Players meetups, or the masterclass series at Classic Pianos "Wednesdays with Westcott."
